I’m on a roll (pun intended) with the Motorhome decor, so I thought I’d show you my newest little trick to keep things from moving while on the move!

KEEPING THINGS PUT
Here’s the thing….while driving down the road, no matter what size of a RV you own…..stuff is gonna move! Wow, some of the interstates we drove on were so bumpy, Baxter actually went to the back & laid on the bed for awhile! LOL
Sticky to the rescue
So how, you ask (well, maybe not….but….) can you keep things from moving and falling off the counters, etc? Well I have a great solution for you! Have you ever heard of E6000 extreme tack? Me either until recently. It’s like that stuff on the back of your credit card you receive in the mail….you can remove it, but it has some powerful stick to it! That’s what this stuff is! You CAN remove it, but it does take a bit of effort, so the good news is, it keeps things stuck down!
I bought some cute little faux plants from IKEA that I wanted to add to the RV, just to make it look more welcoming….a little life added to the space. No way I’d try to keep real plants alive! I just added a few little drops of this glue to the base of the container, let it sit overnight & the next day placed it where I wanted and bam! It’s stuck! I used it on several little faux plants and I’m here to tell you….we drove this motorhome for 3 days on some seriously bumpy roads and they stayed put!
more ways to use Extreme Tack
I also added it to the bottom of the coffee machine slide I bought on Amazon. The counterspace is a premium and I wanted my coffee maker tucked back out of the way, but be easy to add water to the back, so this awesome slide works perfect. (I love it so much, I’m gonna buy one for home! I’ve linked it here) But I knew this would not stay put on the road being a hard plastic base, so I added some of the Extreme tack to the base and it has been perfect! Whoever created this magic glue, I thank you!! (Full disclosure, I didn’t actually leave the coffee maker ON the slide, as it, well…slides! But the actual slide itself didn’t move one bit while traveling)
So that’s my fun new product for you! And you don’t need a moving “home” to have a need for this stuff. Let me know in the comments below what you might think it would be awesome for! Until next time, thanks again for following along!
